My bento blogging buddy Mamabelly is a master of the literary lunch! She recently was a stop on the blog book tour for Penny & Jelly Slumber Under the Stars by Maria Gianferrari and illustrated by Thyra Heder – and I was lucky enough to win a copy.
This book is beautifully written & illustrated – and the story is just perfect. One of my parenting goals has always been to raise an independent, problem solver – just like Penny! I love how this book shows Penny’s resourcefulness as well as her problem solving process, including her failures. In fact, we loved Penny & Jelly so much that I immediately ordered Penny & Jelly The School Show – both books are now among our favorites.
I’m a huge fan of using what we’re reading to inspire our lunches, so I just had to get in on the Penny & Jelly literary lunch fun!
