We’re just a teeny, tiny bit into Star Wars around here….
…ok no, we’re a bit obsessed! My kid has always been a big fan of the droids in the Star Wars universe, and BB-8 just might have taken over from R2-D2 as the favorite.
This bento lunch is filled with all the droids you’re looking for…but don’t tell the Stormtroopers, ok?
In an EasyLunchboxes container, with the orange lid in honor of the newest and cutest droid:
BB-8 Sandwich: sandwich thins cut to make BB-8’s shape, then topped with an American cheese body/head, with accents made with cheddar cheese “glued” on with honey and a food marker
R2-D2 Shaped Hard Boiled Egg in a star silicone cup
Bite Sized Strawberries and Mini Zucchini Slices on lightsaber picks
C3-PO Shaped Hard Boiled Egg in a star silicone cup
R2-D2 and C3-PO Graham Crackers in a silicone cup
This hard boiled egg set is awesome, but it can be a little tricky to find the right size eggs for the molds. I went through a fair number of failed attempts before this lunch.
I used large eggs that were on the smaller side, and if you’re using these molds, make sure to wet the insides of them liberally with cold water before you put the warm egg inside to help prevent sticking. You can see the Stormtrooper mold here.
