Hi, I am Rebecca from LiciousLunches.com and I am really excited to have the chance to guest post here at BentoNinja! I have had a great time getting to know Amanda over the last several months. She’s a great bento buddy – one that has helped me expand both my bento obsession and collection! In fact, I would never have had some of the picks used in the meals in this post, if I had not met BentoNinja! So, I am happy to share some of my bentos here and to help Amanda out while she recovers from her surgery.
First, I will share a lunch I packed for myself.
In our Fit & Fresh box, I packed a salad with spring mix, broccoli, tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers. I placed dressing and sunflower seeds in the little blue containers. The purple container held some buffalo chicken dip made following this recipe but cooked in the slow cooker instead of the oven. I also included some crackers to go with the chicken dip.
To make this lunch a little extra special, I used blue number picks for 28 and cut pieces of cheddar cheese to spell Days. I then placed two of my special Donald Duck picks below the 28 Days since we are counting down to our first family trip to Walt Disney World. I also included a special Disney-themed napkin I purchased from Sew Chic Geek Boutique. This was a fun lunch to look forward to at work.
I counted down to the Disney trip with my kids too. Below is a breakfast I shared one weekend on Instagram.
My daughter really loves berry muffins. We usually only make these on the weekend and I often dress them up a little for fun. For these, I used picks to write 15 Days Til on the muffin. I then included Mickey and Minnie picks in the grapes and blackberries. I used a cutter to cut slices of apple in the shape of Mickey’s head and I added a piece of black construction paper to a Babybel cheese to create another Mickey like the classic Mickey ears hat. This was fun for both of us!
If you enjoyed the meals I shared here, I would love for you to visit my site. I have a few other Disney posts, including:
In this post I share a couple of school lunches themed to celebrate Rescue Rangers and other characters.
Here I share a Disney themed lunch packed for my husband and I also show how I made and used a puzzle with over 200 pieces to reveal our Disney trip to our kids in a fun, suspenseful way.
Thanks for reading this post! I appreciate your time and interest.
