When all-day school was about to start, I was very uncertain about one thing – lunch! My kid is not the most adventurous eater, and our school is nut-free. I knew I wanted to pack lunch with a variety of foods – some that I knew would definitely be eaten, and others that I would hope would at least be tried. But how to do it? After a lot of time spent online researching and reading, I thought bento might be the answer. So, armed with a book, some cutters and picks, and my new BentgoKids box, I set out to make this lunch thing work.
Star Sandwiches: Sunbutter and SuperFruit Spread on Whole Wheat Bread with ABC Picks
Hard Boiled Egg, shaped with Heart Egg Mold
Veggie (Pirate) Booty
Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies
Packed in Bentgokids Box, with a Light My Fire Spork and Star Cloth Napkin (made by Bento Ninja)
After the first bento lunch, I was hooked, and my kid was too!
