Our family loves all things space, so when I saw these space themed bento picks, I snapped them up. I used a round cutter to make a little planet sandwich, decorated with an alien and his ship, along with stars all around.
Space and Star sandwiches: Sunbutter and Superfruit Spread on Whole Wheat Bread
Dried berries and raisins surround the sandwiches to help keep them in place
Mango chunks with a star shaped mango on top, decorated with star pick
Hard Boiled Egg, made with star mold – I still had not purchased XL eggs yet, so this star was interpreted as a planet by my kid.
Yogurt decorated with star sprinkles
Yogurt covered star cookies
Packed with a Light My Fire spork and star themed cloth napkin by Bento Ninja. The space shuttle lunch note was printed at home.
My kid loves yogurt, and I have been thrilled with the leakproof feature on the Bentgo Kids box – it is perfect, no spillage or leakage into surrounding compartments! This has allowed me to purchase the more economical and eco-friendly tub of yogurt instead of a ton of little tubes that my kid would have trouble opening without making a huge mess. Win all around!
