I’ve been having a great time with all of the Halloween lunches, but when these picks came in the mail the other day, I didn’t want to have to wait until spring to use them!
If you’ve been reading the Bento Ninja blog, you know that I love that my kid loooves pizza day at school, but I miss packing lunch on those days. Instead, we pack sides only, and I usually use the bottom half of our Bentgo box. If I were packing this as a full lunch, I would add the top layer of the Bentgo box and add mini flower shaped sandwiches.
In our Bentgo:
The bottom of the box is filled first with Flower Shaped Silicone Cups and one rectangular cup for the longer fruit, and then surrounded by Veggie Pirate Booty to represent grass.
In the cups:
Star Shaped Hard Boiled Egg: This is as close as I could get to a flower, and with the pick, I’m sure my kid will see it as one
Mini Turkey Pepperoni
Bite Sized Strawberry Pieces on Flower and Leaf Picks
Flower Shaped Apple Slices with Cinnamon (to prevent browning)
Yogurt Covered Star Cookies hidden in the “grass” as a treat
Packed along with a Horizon milk box and cloth napkin (not pictured).
This was another lightning fast bento, very quick to pack – the longest part was washing and cutting the fruit. I made the egg the night before while doing other housework, and then assembled the box in the morning in about 10 minutes.
