Mr. Bento Ninja’s working through Thanksgiving, so even though the kid doesn’t need a school lunch, there’s still lunch packing going on around here! I don’t always cute up his lunches, but when there’s a holiday going on, he needs at least one theme lunch, right?
In Mr. Bento Ninja’s Easy Lunchbox:
Mashed Potatoes, decorated with a Pilgrim cupcake ring
Fresh Cranberry Sauce from Trader Joe’s in an ELB Mini Dipper
Peppered Turkey, rolled up and decorated with a turkey pick
Grapes, decorated with a “Happy Thanksgiving” food pick
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, accented with a mini edible pie icing decoration
This lunch was inspired by Thanksgiving dinner, but since I’m not cooking this year, I didn’t have exclusively traditional ingredients on hand. To make it more Thanksgiving-y you could swap out the grapes for green beans (or whatever your family’s traditional vegetable side is) and swap out the peanut butter cups for a mini pie or pumpkin tart!
